The EternaLight assets of Technology Associates, Inc.
have been transfered to EternaLights, LLC. All orders
and services issues will be handled by them.
History:
In 1992,
Thomas Hoops and Derone Bryson founded Technology Associates.
In 1994, their partnership incorporated under the name
of Technology Associates, Inc. Between 1993 and 2000,
Technology Associates successfully operated a small
chain of computer stores in the Reno/Sparks area which sold
and serviced computers.
Technology Associates was also one of the founding investors
in Great Basin Internet Services (GBIS), Northern Nevada's Largest
Independent internet service provider. In 1998, TA divested itself
of GBIS. In 2000, TA divested itself of it's retail stores
to pursue manufacturing of the EternaLight flashlight
and other related and unrelated products developed by Thomas Hoops
and Derone Bryson. In 2007,
the organization formerly known as Technology
Associates, Inc., founded by Thomas Hoops and
Derone Bryson in 1992 ceased to exist.
This site is still a
functioning sales platform for the EternaLight products
manufactured and sold by EternaLights, LLC. However,
the remainder of the site remains as it was in it's finality before
the closing of Technology Associates, Inc.
Today Mr. Bryson is privately employed as a Software Engineer. Mr. Hoops
is privately employed in a manufacturing company as
it's CTO. After working together since 1990, through their various
projects and partnerships, Mr. Hoops and Mr. Bryson are still best friends
and continue to explore new opportunities together.

Distinct features:
The VersaLux Utility Light Module is comprised of 10 WHITE leds and
power supply circuitry for use in many applications.
It is the very first utility light module with
the all the advantages of the WHITE LED's (long life, small size,
durability, balanced color output, energy efficiency) and, our exclusive
Demand Pulse Technologytm which provides additional circuitry
for adjustable regulated light power output AND power consumption
regulation over the broad range of its DC input voltage.
What does this mean?
It means that:
- The light sources (lamps) could last up to 100,000 (11.4 years continuous -
almost no bulb changes ever).
- Flexible power source parameters. Constant, yet adjustable, light
output with input voltage ranging from 2.2 to 13.8 volts dc.
- The light output power is constant even while the battery's condition
lessens or voltage varies, until it is below the operating voltage of
the module (2.2 Volts DC).
- Power consumption is conserved and regulated over the operating range
where as a competitor's light
may use more power at higher voltages than at lower voltages. For example,
POWER = VOLTS X AMPS. The VersaLux will put out the same light level
at 6 volts, consuming only .14 amps thus only .84 watts, as it will at
12 volts, consuming only .07 amps thus still only .84 watts. However a
competitor's unit, even if capable of operating over such a broad voltage range,
may consume .14 amps at 6 volts (thus .84 watts) and still consume .14 amps
at 12 volts thus 1.68 watts.
- It's compact form is only 1.18 inches tall by 1.95 inches wide by 1.2 inches thick.
- It's 10 LEDs of strong white light output.
- The lighting pattern is a 20 degree flood pattern without reflectors or diffusers.
- Constant light output is adjustable via onboard potentiometer
from 0% to 100% of total power output.
So what can I do with this?
You can:
- Make small, lightweight, powerful, long battery life head lamps (to wear on
helmets, ball caps or hand straps).
- Add long life, energy efficient lighting to you Mobile Home, RV, car,
remote area or room.
- Construct lighting systems which are powered by low voltages over a
wide range. For example, here are some typical power sources and performance

Warranty & Refund
Technology Associates, Inc. (TAI) warrants that
all VersaLux ULM products shall be free from defects in material
and workmanship under normal use for a period of 30 days
from date of shipment. Products covered by
this warranty shall be returned to TAI within the warranty period and
upon examination TAI determines to its satisfaction that such
product is defective in material or workmanship and such defect
was not caused by accident, misuse, improper installation,
improper adjustment, improper repair or improper testing,
TAI shall at its option, repair or replace the product.
Shipping charge is at buyer's expense. TAI shall have a
reasonable time to make such repairs or replace such equipment. TAI's
general turnaround for warranty repairs is 1-2 weeks.
Buyer must include all documentation relating to the shipment,
purchase and nature of the failure. The Buyer is responsible for
packaging the returned material in an appropriate container in order to
protect against shipping damages. TAI does not warrant
merchantability for any purpose, and shall not be liable for
consequential damages of any kind, however incurred.
This limited warranty applies only to the
original purchaser of the product, and is not transferable.
Refund: If VersaLux ULM products shall be returned to TAI
for refund and upon examination TAI determines to its
satisfaction that the product being returned has not been
used or altered, TAI may refund full purchase
price, less shipping cost, within 30 days from the date of purchase.
Sorry, no refund after 30 days.
Out of Warranty Repair
Units TAI deems out of warranty may be repaired or replaced by TAI's
if the buyer pays TAI a $12.00 blanket service/shipping charge.
